About this series

Focus Spec turns everyday slips into games: giving in to a notification while studying, drifting off mid-paragraph, losing what you just heard. It measures the brake that stops you, the power to mute distractions, eyes that do not wander, and the grip on what just went by.

Each result becomes a percentile and then 0 to 1,000 points. Your four personal bests add up to the series score (up to 4,000), and the ratio to the maximum sets your animal rank. Your strongest ability becomes your archetype. It is a game played for fun, not a diagnosis or an assessment.

FAQ

Do I have to do all four?

One test is enough to get a score. Your rank is confirmed once all four are done; before that it shows as provisional.

Does this tell me whether my focus is good or bad?

No. It is a game score for comparing with yourself on the same device and in the same conditions. It varies with mood, device and time of day, and has nothing to do with any diagnosis or assessment.

Where do the baselines come from?

They are initial estimates derived from the rules of the four games. Academic tests use different counts and response methods, so we did not import their numbers. Baselines update as records accumulate, and stored records keep their points.
