About this test

CPS stands for clicks per second. Most people land between 5 and 7. With practice, 10 is reachable. The metric became famous in Minecraft PvP and rhythm game communities, but the same finger wins ticket drops and course registration.

This test uses a 10 second window. Five seconds measures burst, 30 seconds measures endurance, but 10 seconds is the most widely compared standard.

FAQ

What are jitter and butterfly clicking?

Jitter clicking vibrates the hand, butterfly clicking alternates two fingers. Both can push you to 15 to 20 CPS. They strain the wrist, so keep sessions short.

Does it work on touch screens?

Yes, taps are counted. Alternating two fingers will inflate the result beyond your real single finger speed.

Does the mouse matter?

Light mice with snappy switches help. Wireless latency is negligible on modern mice.
